Apsara DanceThis dance is a special dance that takes years to master. Only the best Cambodian dancers are taught this dance. This dance is considered to be a dance of the angels up in heaven. The main dancer is the lead and is dressed in white and she is considered to be an angel. All the other people in the dance are the people who tend to her and obey her every need. This dance is an expert dance and is considered to be very special to the Cambodian people. The dance was usually performed for the king and his very special guest. However, now a days they can be seen by anyone that comes to visit Cambodia. Carvings that are centuries old can be seen today of this dance. They are hand carved into the many temples of Cambodia. One of the most famous temple is called Angkor Wat. The temples are lined with beautiful carvings by the masters of the angels who dance the Apsara dance.
